Restructuring Support – Transfer Redundancy Scheme
When job losses are unavoidable, we advise employers and works councils in creating and implementing a Transfer Redundancy Scheme and in planning the required outplacement measures and transfer companies.
Initially, employees facing redundancy need financial security for the transition period. Far more important in the mid-term, however, is the prospect of a new job in the primary employment market. HARZ III launched two new funding programmes in January 2004.
Outplacement consulting supported under §216a SGB aims to open new opportunities in the primary job market for the employee to be terminated, while he/she is still employed.
Transfer companies supported under §216b SGB enable those affected to extend unemployment benefits for up to one year and to use this time to actively seek placement and/or to engage in appropriate training.
Each company situation is unique and calls for individual answers and solutions
